Hello fishloreans!

So I am doing a bit of a cichlid research project I guess haha but anyway, I am wondering what is the best cichlid to fit each category? Basically, what cichlid in your humble opinion comes to your mind in that way/perspective.

Note: you can write a cichlid more than once! If you also can't choose you can skip it.

Here's the questions!

1. Most commonly available in chains (hence in chains)
2. Most pretty
3. Most amusing to watch
4. Biggest personality
5. Most aggressive
6. Least aggressive
7. Biggest and/or messiest eater

Thanks in advance,

LT

3. All varieties
4. All varieties
5. I've seen oscars and jack's go after people's hands before.
6. Yellow labs
7. A holding cichlid that is trying to eat.

Hello!

•1. Angelfishes, Blood parrots, oscars
•2. Angelfishes (I own them and love them to death...very partial to them ) and apistogramma cacatuoides (I like how colorful and "edgy" they look)
•3. Tanganyikan goby cichlids. (Best personality and amusing cichlids by far...in my humble opinion )
•4. Same as #3
•5. Red Devils (as appropriately named), jack Dempseys, Texas cichlids (could "beat" the Red Devils, but the Devils are the most notorious)
•6.Blue Acara, dwarves
•7. Oscars (or basically anything that requires goldfish and get HUGE, oscar was the first that popped into my head )

Btw, this was a cool thread idea. Had fun filling out the list!

1. Probably Angelfish or Africans.
2. I think big male red devils are pretty handsome fish. Oh and Uaru too!
3. For me, young Keyhole cichlids are pretty amusing to watch as they zoom about the place!
4. For their size, lots of the dwarf species have pretty big personalities and so do Oscars, Devils, Midas and Blue Acaras.
5. The Dovii definitely takes the cake on that one; one mean fish.
6. Rams, Apistogramma and Keyholes.
7. Oscars and maybe Dovii too.

This was quite fun. It's hard to pick though when you have so many favourites!
