I've been hearing a lot of positive things about sumps, although would my 29g really need one? I'm definitely interested, and if so, how would I go about making one? Not too much info on how to build a freshwater one.

Check out the many different sumps on the Internet by searching aquarium sumps and you will find one you can easily build . Really you can build any size you want , it's up to you.

visit King of diy on YouTube. I got my idea from him and have a design relevant to freshwater tanks. I'm just waiting for the builders to finish than I'll post my project.

I have a 10g as a sump on my 29g. I used the diy king weir overflow method and did a modified in tank filter build for the sump. basically I made an open canister filter. Fun to do, increased my tank water capacity by 30%.
