How To Treat My Dalmatian Molly's Sickness

I just started keeping fish, it's an old 20 gallon acqauriaum which I bought from someone. Water prameters seem all fine, got them tested on saturated before I bought fish and again yesterday after doing 35% water change , Ammonia and nitrite are 0 and nitrate is 20. Bought two female mollies on Saturday, one dalmatian and one creamcicle. They both were doing great ( dalmatian dolly was very active constantly bullying creamcicle olly)until Monday night when the dalmatian one become inactive and lethargic, hardly moving, I yesterday noticed chapped fins with a cloudy patch and added Melafix, today she seems worse and the tail and back have gotten a red sspot with redness growing ( shown in the pictures), I have kept her in a mesh breeder as my other molly was constantly bullying my sick one. An hours ago I added 3.5 tabs of tetra life guard, I don't have a spare hospital tank so I have to treat her in the main tank itself. Please help me with what this disease is( based on my research it seems like a fin rot, is there anything more to it?) and how to proceed with the treatment. Thanks folks.

Here are the pics

That doesn't look like fin rot. Are they the only fish in the tank? How did you cycle the tank? Have you tested the tap water?

Yes those are the only two fish in the tank, I cycled the water for 3 weeks prior to adding fish and since it was an acqarium already being used by another person, the cycling didn't take much time I guess. I condition the tap water before adding it.

What method did you use to cycle?

Added little of old water( in which the previous owner had his guppies), gravel, decorations, filter everything was old, added conditioned tap water and let the filter run for 3 weeks.

Unfortunately, by running it without an ammonia source any bacteria that may have still been in the filter would have died off. I suspect that your fish are going through a cycle now and suffering from the toxins that are present.

I would recommend doing daily water changes and dosing Prime for the whole tank volume each time. Do you have your own test kit?

Her fins are more frayed today than yesterday, yesterday it was frayed at the top edge and looked cloudy like you can see in the picture.

But parameters look good, have tested it, it's 0 ammonia and nitrite

I'll be receiving my test kit today, I at few occasions added fish flakes while the tank was cycling to provide ammonia.

Aquaphobia even three days after adding fish if my ammonia ans nitrite level show 0, doesn't it mean that my rank is cycled??

I had a post but I don't think it went through -.-

Can you test your tap water please?
Also do you know how long the previous owner had the tank set up?

Also I use tetra aqasafe for conditioning tap water and I don't think it treats the ammonia present in it.

Looks like medicating has killer my bio bacteria too

She is taking her last breaths I'm feeling so upset, on the verge of crying

My fish died she was spinning vertically with her tail up n mouth down, and stopped breathing after a while, looks like it was some parasite that affected her brains too. Rip Dolly.
