How to tell if your betta is too fat or too thin?

There are a lot of information and misinformation online about this. You hear a lot of warnings against overfeeding a betta, and some about underfeeding causing a betta to be susceptible to disease. But what does a betta look like when it is too fat or too thin? What behaviors does it show if it is not in fit condition? They always seem to be ready to eat no matter what.

Not too sure, but when my betta was a little constipated it was a bump behind the gills

Betta fish don't have a "Stop Eating" mechanism, haha.

Here's a website that may be pretty shady but provides good pictures:

Thank you! That shows too fat, and healthy. I will also keep looking for too thin pictures.
