I have a 2 month old 50 Gal tank that was developing algae on the walls and so I decided to get an algae eater. My question is, since this is a fairly new tank, how do I tell if he is getting enough food? I don't want the little guy to be hungry. Thanks

When the algae is gone (if he's eating it) you need to drop in veggie wafers or feed raw veggies about everyother day.
also if his belly is getting sunken in he needs to be fed more.

I agree with Carol. If you see no more algae, it's time to supplement his diet with foods for algae eaters such as algae wafers, etc. By the way, it's nice to have another Isabella on the forum, lol . WELCOME!
