So, I am really worried about my mystery snail Dusky. Not because he's sick, but I've officially had him for 1 year. And he was a grown adult when I took him home, so he's a very old snail. He's doing really good still, very active, eating, all that jazz. I just want to know what I can do for him to get him to live as long as possible. I have grown really attached to him. I already use cuttlebone in the tank to try and keep his shell healthy, but my pH is 6 so he has shell erosion :( Other than that there's literally no concerns I have than just old age. He's a very big snail too. How can I get him to live as long as possible?

I love these things soooo much.

Clean water and substrate, snello, bloodworms, food variety, enough room to explore.

I've had mine since he was as tiny as a smilie :p a year and a half ago.

FWIW, I worry about Johnny. Johnny Apple Snail, all the time. He's just the most peaceful, graceful sweetest thingie.

Will be neat to see what other people suggest.
