HI all,
I am finally ready to stock. But I am a bit confused about how to do it. I have a 65 gallon and a 10 gallon that I have been doing a fishless cycle on and have been dosing with ammonia to 3ppm through the process. after 7 weeks or so I am finally cycled. 3ppm of ammonia completely processed in 24 hours.
I want to start stocking now but don't want to put in a full compliment of fish all at once. For the 65 gallon I was thinking of 10 sterbaI cories and 8 to 10 congo tetras.
The ten gallon is a bit more complicated. I am going for a shrimp tank but I want the tank to "season" a bit more. I was told a mature tank is better for introducing shrimp. My thought was a school of 8 ember tetras that I would move to the 65 gallon tank after a few months before introducing shrimp.
So any thoughts on this plan? I am open to any and all suggestions!
