How to ship mystery snails?

Hello, I was just wondering what your methods are for shipping snails. I really need to sell some mystery snails ASAP! I have heard of people seperating a kordon breather bag into 2 sections and shipping a snail in each (why so few?), and I have also heard of shipping them in disposable containers (put into a box) with a small hole in the top for air. Opinions? And also, what would be a safe temperature for me to ship them with no heat\cold packs? They would be in an insulated box. Thanks!!

edit: After further research I am liking the idea of wetting paper towels\newspapers and putting them in a Ziploc Bag. I will probably then put in some very small holes so air can enter the bag.

Now, I just really need to know what temperatures would be safe to ship in. Thanks!

Mine were wrapped in wet paper towels in a ziplock bag. They all arrived alive. I wouldn't put holes in the bag though as it would leak and dry out.

That's how I ship all my snails. I suggest not putting holes in as well.

What about oxygen? They won't run out?

Nope. I've never had that problem. I usually do 20-30% water and then 70% percent air. It really depends on how long they are gonna be in there.

They would be shipped priority mail, so two to three days. Oh, so you actually add water too?

I wrap the snails in paper towels (helps protect from shell damage), then add enough water to get the paper towels really wet, but not enough water so that there's a bunch of water bouncing around in the bag. The rest is air and the snails will be fine.

Many snails are not very cold tolerant and you may need to look into heat packs. I don't keep mystery snails so I'm not sure how they will do without it.
