How to remove algae from coral without removing the bacteria

I have a piece of coral in my shrimp tank and it's been growing algae. How can I remove this without removing the bacteria that the shrimp feed on?

I'm not sure. Maybe it's blue green algae (cyanobacteria?). It's green and is mostly just on said coral. It's in some other places but not bad at all and I have next to no algae on the glass, it looks like.

If it is cyano then it will rub off easily and you might be able to very carefully remove it from coral using a siphon tube to hoover it up.

Usually cyano is red or more that color shade in salt water so may not be.

A picture or two would be helpful.
