Is the it the lid of the filter vibrating that is causing the noise? Check that all parts are clean and fit together properly

Put the warranty paper in the gap between the tank and the filter.

No lid, not sure, I don’t have the warranty just the filter

It most likely the impeller making the noise. You might be able to quiet it down with some silicone grease applied to the magnet of the impeller. I personally used Vaseline with no ill effects, but apparently its bad for the fish or something like that.

That's a Tetra Whisper EX. The impeller and the motor is inside of the tank. To get to it, you'll have to disassemble the whole filter. Then pull it out of the tank. After that remove the intake tube and strainer. Look at the big plastic piece the intake pipe fits on, that's the motor. There is a line on the motor that states the minimum water level of the tank, you can open the motor at the line. It takes some effort. After you get into the motor, you should see something that looks like a little fan, that's the impeller. Take the impeller out and clean it. Make sure none of the blades are missing as well. After you've cleaned the impeller, clean the motor as well. The area the impeller sits in has to be clean.

Now that you cleaned the motor and impeller, you can reassemble the motor. Before you put the impeller in, you can put some silicone grease/lubricant or vaseline on the black magnet part of the impeller. This will quiet it down. Do the steps above in reverse to assemble.

Also, to reduce the humming of the filter, you can add a piece of foam or sponge to the bottom of the filter that sits against the glass of the tank.
