Hi all! I have a bit of newbie question. My LFS has 3 angelfish about quarter size and I would like to buy 2 for my 40galllon. My question is how do I go about picking a pair that are bonded I guess? I don't know if it's possible but if it is I would love any tips. (I've only ever kept one Angelfish in a tank)

What I have heard is throw a bunch in together and waith for a pair. I don't know tho, since I've never kept angelfish.

Nearly impossible to sex them at quarter size. If you want a male-female pair that get along, they will breed.

Not looking to sex them per say. Just if there was any signs to looks for that they would get along in the long run. I don't mind 2 females or 2 males.

Easiest way to get a pair that gets along is to buy 12. Keep the first pair that spawns. Sell the rest

At that age, they will not be able to breed and will not show breeding behavior. And you can't sex them except for breeding tubes when they are breeding. There are other THEORIES, but even with those, they have to be older.
