How to make veggies sink

If I wanted to put zucchinI or some other vegetable in my tank for my snail and other Bottom Feeders to eat, how do I get it to sink? Do you just blanch it or what?

Blanching works. You can pin it with decor or a fork or something. After an hour or so it won't be buoyant anymore. Unless you're doing something leafy.

I use kebab sticks and pin it to the substrate. Works like a charm!

Or you can put it on the side of the tank really low to the ground and clip it with one of those veggie clips that are made specifically for that.

I've used a stainless steel fork and it makes 'em sink quite nicely.
