I’m starting to prepare my tanks for ‘vacation’ this December. I’ll be gone for 3 weeks and I’m worried that my Cory’s might not get enough to eat.
I have an automatic feeder (I’ve used it a couple times in the past, it works great. But, I use it for dispensing mini pellets of food. I’ve never had to use it for bigger pellets or algae wafers).
The tank is a bare bottom 20gal quarantine I’ve had running for almost a month now. There is 6 corydoras and 4 neon dwarf rainbowfish in there.
All these fishies are eating well and thriving, but I’m worried that the Cory’s might not eat enough while I’m away for 3 weeks? For the most part, the rainbowfish aren’t too greedy. Some food is usually left to sink down and feed the Cory’s, but I also feed them larger pellets or algae wafers every few days. Is there anything I can do to make sure my Cory’s are well fed? I’ve heard of people having a lot of trouble from those ‘vacation feeder blocks’, and I’m curious if anyone has any advice or experience to share? No one will be around to check on the fish or to change the water for 3 weeks. So understandably, I’m a little bit worried.
‘Tanks’ for any help guys
