You just have to keep playing with it. You'll eventually find what you like...than in a few months you'll grow tired of it and just rework it all over again...that's normal...everybody has this problem.

It doesn't look too bad, but the live plants would definitely spruce things up a bit.

Does it have enough hiding places the big neon tetra seems stressed.

From what I've read, neon tetras feel safer in a group of neon tetras. They also feel more comfortable in a well planted tank. I bet more live plants would be a step in the right direction!

I agree, real plants would spruce it up although it doesn't look bad at all now. A black back ground would look great too. I bought black vinyl off ebay to black my background out instead of using paint like a lot do.
