How to let my snail eat in peace??

Hello everyone. Newbie here and I have a mystery snail that lives with 3 goldfish (they leave him alone thank goodness) in a 55 gallon tank.

Question is how to let him eat his algae wafers without the goldfish bombarding it first? I'm going to try to make Jello food that is safe for fish and snails tomorrow so that maybe I can give some to all and keep everyone busy eating for a few minutes. I hope this works

OR

Can I take him out of tank and put him in this clear plastic container that my moss balls came in and give him a wafer in there and watch him for a minute then put him back (sounds a little crazy I know)

Or

Could I use same cup (clear plastic) and place wafer in front of him and cup in water on top to keep fish out for a few supervised minutes? (sounds a little risky)

I just don't know. I'm thinking enough food for all might be way to go.... anyone else have this problem?

Maybe take him out? That sounds like the easiest way

Yeah I'm trying that out as we speak and he's eating wafer (YESSS)
Just didnt know if that would stress him out to be moved around.

Maybe put a plastic basket over the snail with the wafer and place a rock on top. He'll still be in the same tank but the goldfish wouldn't be able to get to him.

Good idea with bucket and rock. That would be more likely to not tip over.

Get yourself a little plastic floating breeder box, put him in there with his dinner. It'll stress him less if he can still be in his tank to eat but the fish can't get to his goodies in his box
