How to know when Ich is gone

Hello, unfortunately I discovered ich in my aquarium and I used medication and raised the temp but all except one of my fish did not make it. Fortunately though, he is doing great and the white bumps are almost gone. All of the levels of everything are great. I really want to add more fish but I want to ensure it will be safe for all of them and I am going to take more precautions when adding fish. I do not want to rush the process. Are there any clear ways to ensure that ich is gone?

Basically just keep your temp at 86 F for two weeks total and you should be fine.

I would keep the temp up (86) for two weeks AFTER all the white spots disappear. Sometimes not all the ich gets killed off once the spots are gone so this way ensures they’re aren’t any left :)
