I recently found a colony of snail eggs on the lid of my tank and don’t know how to get rid of them. I don’t know whether I should flush it or throw it in the regular trash?

If you are wondering why I want to get rid of it is because I have dealt with a million baby snails before and it was not fun. Also it creates way to big of a bioload for the size tank I have.

It wouldn't be a problem for me to flush them because we have out own septic system but you might not want to do it if if they end up in a municipal sewer system. In that case it would be best to just wrap them on a paper towel. Put it in a zip-loc bag and dispose of in the trash can. You may want to crush it before disposing of the clutch.

I totally understand you not wanting to deal with a full clutch of snails.

Agreed with @mattgirl I would just crush them and bag them up and chuck them out with the rest of the rubbish.... Either way they wouldn't survive so crushing the clutch is probably the most humaine and friendliest death you could give them
