I have a 55 gallon and 20 gallon tank. I’m looking to get another. Are there ways to get fish tanks for less? If so it would be very helpful if you could help me!

Hello, I've acquired a 55gal, stand & casscade 1000 canister filter on craigslist for 80$.
If you have a petco nearby you could wait for 1$per gallon sale(up to 29gal & 1/2 off larger). I picked up s 75gal for 89$. Hope this helps!

Curious on nuking old equipment. Is this always necessary? If something is dry I would think whatever nasties were on it have died off? Especially if it was your own equipment unused for some time? Wouldn't the nasties need the water to stay alive?

If this is a dumb question, pardon me please.

I do it for piece of mind. If something goes sideways then I have a good starting point on how to fix it.

Geez I'm jealous. I got my 75gal with stand, light, fish food, decor, filter and heaters off craiglist for 275. Not as good of a deal as everyone else but oh well, still a good deal. U could also try the letgo app if u have it where u live. I got my 20gal off there for $25. Good luck!
