20 Gallon Tank How to feed fishes while being on vacation

Hello!
I wanted to ask your recommendation to be ready if I ever go on vacation for a week, 2 weeks or a month. What do you guys do to feed your fishes when you’re on vacation? I know the easier answer is a friend or someone who could watch them, but unfortunately I don’t have a close friend or relatives nearby to ask for the favor, so I was wondering what could be the best method and/or product - brand to help on this situation (something that wouldn’t cloud the water or cause an ammonia spike).
I understand that if I ever go on vacation for too long, they’d need a water change and for that I’d pay somebody to do it.
The aquarium is 20 gallons, I have shrimps, snails and small fishes (the bigger ones are the corys). Thank you!

 

Automatic feeders seem to do well.

I’m going on vacation for 7 days and I don’t have anybody who could feed my 2 female crown betta fish. The fish tank is 10 gallons, it has live plants (giant duckweed and guppy grass) and 1 nerite snail. It’s cycled so far, and I perform 25% water changes every week.
I bought this product that I’ll attach on the pictures and I’d like to know the experience of somebody using it. I have read bad comments and I’m not sure about using it. I usually feed them once a day every day.

Sorry i cant comment on using that feeder block but i can say betta and most fish in general can survive 7 days without food give a good water change before leaving and when you return and a normal feed when leaving and a good feed upon return.

does that mean you have 2 seperate 10gal tanks with 1 female betta in each or is there 2 female betta in the same 10gal tank???

If they are in the same tank i dont think this 7 day trip is going to go down very well, without feeding they may become aggressive with each other. Perhaps you could buy an automatic fish food feeder???

Just be cautious about what your feeding, and how often, also if the 2 betta are in the same tank you seriously need to rehome one or get another tank to house it otherwise sooner or later a betta fish fight is going to occur, both fish will get hurt and die or get badly injuried.

 

No feeder blocks should be used.
I have no personal experience using blocks but have read far to many bad stories about them . I have left my fish for ten nights without food. I bought lots of auto feeders but no longer consider them necessary unless you have tiny tiny tiny egg layers fry .

 

I've left my tanks for 2 weeks without food multiple times. They will be fine.

I adopted those 2 females from a friend, they had been together for a while already. It’s 1 fish tank for both, yes. So far they’re doing just fine. I might get the automatic feeder then, thank you!

Just have a Backup plan if thinks go sour between them

 

I second the water change and not feeding them. Its better they go a bit hungry, than dying from an ammonia spike.
