How To Feed A Betta Bloodworms?

I just got frozen bloodworms that come in squares and I think they are too big for my Betta, should I cut them into fourths and thaw out only a fourth and give it to him or should I give him the whole cube. This ain’t his main diet, just like a treat sort of.

That’s usually what I do, cut them up. Your Betta probably only needs a fourth. My fish eat a whole cube, but I chop it up into a few pieces so that it gets distributed more evenly. Luckily it’s quite easy to cut, you just have to be quick to return the rest into the freezer because it dethaws very quickly!

Yeah a fourth of a cube should be fine. Too much will make him constipated

Also, don’t throw it all in at a time. Slowly add in some bloodworms every time your betta finishes what you have fed.

What I do with frozen brine shrimp is cut off a thin piece with a razor blade and drop it in a capful of tank water. The piece contains 5 or 6 shrimp which is plenty. A cube lasts forever. I'm still on the first one after 8 or 10 feedings. A quarter of the cube would be way too much. I've never tried bloodworms but I would think it would be similar.

Yeah, even 1/4 of a cube is too much for one betta I think.

I use 1/4 of a cube for my betta + 10 shrimp that are in the same tank, and still have enough for 7 White Cloud Minnows

Really? With my two African dwarf frogs, 7 guppies, betta, and 2 shrimp, I need the whole cube

It’s really all that simple, you just need to put them in a cup and thaw them in warm water, then the worms are all individual for easy feeding.

How often should I feed these to him. Does this also take up his daily feeding?

How often do you feed it to your betta. Also does this count as one of his daily meals or no

He gets the frozen brine once a week and yes it does comprise most of that day's feeding.

I just fed it to him and he loves them. He jumped up towards the tweezers on the third one I fed him.
