Hello All,
I have a fairly heavily10-gallon planted nano community tank containing:
I would love to encourage successful spawning, but don't have a lot of extra tanks...or space. I *do* have a small isolation box that says it's to isolate fish who are ill or injured...or to use for breeding. (It has a 'drop down area' that protects eggs and fry while they are small.)
I don't want to cause my adult fish any undue stress by isolating a breeding pair from their school, but it would be exciting to see their little family grow.
Do you think there's any shot of the eggs being scattered into the substrate beneath (or on) the plants and having the snails miss a few...or would that be wishful thinking?
I have extra filtration on the tank, they fish get a healthy diet containing lots of freeze-dried worms and brine shrimp, and the water parameters are well within the 'healthy' zone. I also just added some fresh dried catalpa leaves into the tank.
Thank you for your thoughts.

- 9 ember tetras
- 10 (or so) pygmy cories
- 3 male guppies
- the ubiquitous pond snails
- a number of assassin snails (3 adults + some new juveniles roaming around)
