I know this may be a stupid question but how would you go by cleaving gravel that's been in an older tank that hasent been used? Should I just run them under hot hot water?

I put it in a collander about 2 pounds at a time or so and run it under really hot water for a few minutes, shaking the whole thing occasionally to help get it washed.

Another question, would it be the same for cleaning old decorations?

Unless you can boil them, like wood/rocks, otherwise yep!

Yeah. I just rinse well with really hot water. Sometimes i use a dedicated toothbrush as well to get the real dry stuck on gunk off.
