I currently have a 10 gallon tank but just acquired a 55 gallon with stand. The problem I have is the plywood stand is very short. The top of the stand is probably only 2 feet tall and comes to my knees. That means the tank itself will sit down low. I cannot at this time afford to buy a new stand since I have to buy another filter, heater, rocks and fish.
Will this tank be a tipping hazard? I have a 2 1/2 yr old who loves fish so he will be constantly touching it. He is pretty good about stopping if I tell him no, but he is 2 and doesn't always listen. I also have a 4 month old ao eventually she will be pulling up. I am scared this tank could fall over. Is there a way to attach it to the wall? Anything else I need to think of to child proof this? Thanks!
