29 Gallon Tank How to breed mollies?

Hi, I was wondering how I could possibly breed my mollies? I'm fairly new to raising them, so I'm not an expert. I have a school of 4 black mollies, 1 male, 3 females(all around 8 months old), in a 29 gallon tank with a betta fish. I've noticed recently that the male has been chasing a particular female, at first I thought it was because the female was pregnant, but after a few weeks, the female molly doesn't seem to be showing any signs of pregnancy. I've looked up online that raising the temperature and adding hiding spaces would work, but my tanks already at around 80 degrees, and i have plenty of hiding spaces in my tank, so I'm not sure what else I need to do to make them breed.

 

You already started breeding them. It is that easy. Be patient and you will soon be over flowing with Mollies. They WILL have babies. They breed just as easy as Guppies or Platies.

 

Yeah, most livebearers, if you blink, they are usually pregnant. While our mollies were never pregnant QUITE as constantly as the platies, they were often pregnant.

If you want them to grow to sell/trade, seperate tank. The betta and adult mollies will try to eat them.

 

Literally, not even a week after i posted this, I think my mollies pregnant, she has a large square belly and the male is still chasing her around. when do you guys think that the fry will come out?

 

When you typed out molly, the site automatically creates a link to the molly care page. You'll see there that gestation is about a month. When Mama's big and wide about to give birth she'll usually spend a lot of her time hiding in secluded spots. You'll never know 100% when they're going to arrive. Some morning you'll just notice them zipping around.
