How to Acclimate - This is how I acclimate and how I suggest doing so

When I acclimate, I normally do it one of two ways. In this article I’ll be going over both the ways I acclimate and how to do so.

When acclimating a new fish, I either do drip acclimation or float & cup acclimation. Both are simple and easy to do. I’ve been doing my acclimations like this for years and have not had any issues arise from doing so. I consider these two methods to be the safest and most gentle for the fish who is in a new environment.

Wonderful resource, I like to drip acclimate, but I usually have the problem that my room is to cold (my sister likes to keep the window open) so the water in the container is cooling down at about the same speed the drip of warm tank water is coming so it never quite gets to the temp of the tank, so I have to drip acclimate then float for a while in the tank before I release.

P.S. This only happens during winter time.
