I wouldn't test often, except if your water source changes often. I'm running on a well and only tested once

If you do regular water changes then I don't know that there's a need to check unless you suspect a change in water parameters, but if it makes you feel better test whenever you want.

Thanks for the reply! That's helpful to know.

I do weekly water changes and GH out of the tap is 7, I believe. So that would keep the GH and calcium levels high enough for no problems with molting, right?
