Once every day. I won't feed them for a day once or twice a week.

Depends on which tank my cichlid tank the Oscars and BP’s are a bottomless pit when it comes to food so sometimes 3 times a day, the small tank once every day or two

I feed mine once a day, I don’t fast unless I accidentally forget to feed them.

I'm a noob and I find opinions all over the place about feeding my new betta. I'm sure more fish are killed by overfeeding than underfeeding.

same I've heard conflicting opinions. you should fast them, you shouldn't..idk. but I do think more food, more poop, dirtier water. and I don't want them to bloat or anything.

Especially people new to fish keeping as their water management is not as good and they over feed making it 10 times worse

More poop for sure when my Oscars go you would think a small dog had got in the tank and left a load behind

I fast mine once a week or so, but otherwise feed morning/evening. There's been some studies on mammals showing that they can develop diabetes when fed only once per day (specific to dogs/cats) because of the rise/fall in blood sugar, and I'd not be too surprised if we found something similar in fish (that are technically eating throughout the day in their natural environment). So that made me swap to about 2x a day.

if not raising fry, once every two days works best for me. Cleaner tanks with no negative impact on fish health

I feed my fish once a day just a little pinch of whatevers on the menu for the day and i feed my shrimp every other day usually when the lights go down or there is a fight between the endlers and the amanos

Twice a day for me, first thing in the morning, then a smaller dose late in the evening

It depends. I would like to feed two smaller meals every day, but in reality my feedings are really inconsistent. Sometimes I go 4 days not feeding them(because I forget lol), and other days I feed 3 tiny meals.
Generally I feed once a day around 5 times a week.

All my adult fish get once a day- but sometimes I’ll forget I fed them than feed them again, only to remember I already did it. Or I’ll think I have fed them when I haven’t and accidentally fast them for a day.

The babies get like 3-5 feedings a day, though.

My community tank gets twice a day (neons, honey gourami, albino corys) and my 11 week old bettas get 3-4 times a day.

How much should i feed of my betta fluval bug bite flakes? I have the pellets to but as she is so old it is so much easier to feed flakes because they have a larger surface area to strike

I aim for a small pinch of the flakes. Doesm't always work out that way, though

I am thinking about doing like 2 medium flakes twice a day, i feed with tweezers and dangle it just above the water so she jumps a little. How much would you say are in your pinches?

Often times way too much! The tweezers might be a better idea. I am just glad they are almost gone. So tough for me to feed flakes to just 1 fish. Especially when the other tanks i feed flakes to have 20 and 40 fish.
