How often can I spawn my female Betta?

Does anyone have any insight into how often can I spawn my female Betta? I read somewhere that you can spawn her 18 days after her previous spawn, just trying to get thoughts and information. I know spawning is very hard on the female, and I read somewhere that it can shorten their life span of done too often.

Flowingfins might be able to help.
Can you post a picture the Bettas your going breed? Are you going to start a breeding log? Sorry, just interested in breeding Bettas.

A couple questions.
Why do you want to breed?
Do you have a goal in mind?
Have you researched this?
Do you have the time for daily water changes?
Do you have the space for 500+ jars?
Do you have the money?
Are you sure you can rehome the babies?
Are you breeding veil tails?
Do you have live foods for the fry?
Do you have quality fish from a breeder?
Are these pet store fish?
There is a huge problem with people breeding for "fun" and trying to make money. Breeding bettas is not something to take lightly, you have to be committed to it. I can tell you right now, that to do this right you will need to spend a couple thousand to get started, and that you won't make money off of it.

Flowingfins makes great points. Didn't think to mention, but if you aren't prepared(I know I wouldn't be) to breed betta splendens, maybe try another betta species. Like betta imbellis(still have to research a lot, but I am considering them after breeding my Rams and perhaps bn) can be kept together and have less eggs then betta splendens which would make raising fry a whole lot easier. There are other betta species which are easier than betta splendens as well. I think betta imbellis are one of the more beautiful ones though.

I have done a ton of research, and have guidance from a previous breeder. I think I am as prepared as I will ever be, information wise, I have a 10 gallon long for a spawning tank, glass jars(like for canning) have previously had successful infusoria cultures etc.
The lps owner used to breed his own for his shop, it's something that he doesn't have time for now as they are expanding. I received two Betts's from him to get started breeding(not sure if they are fish shop fish or breeding stock). If I can get it figured out and get viable fry then I plan to buy a better quality breeding pair.
Male is a veil tail and female I am not sure, I have a hard time with female tails/fins. I wasn't too concerned about the male being a veil tail because LPS owner will be getting the fry.

But back to my original question, if I do spawn them successfully and get no viable fry how long should I wait to try again? (After checking everything and fixing any snags that may have appeared)

Could you post a photo of the female? We might be able to id it. That's good to hear! Glad that you are doing your research and have a place to give them to. If you have the time when you start breeding you should do a breeding log. Wish I could answer your question, but I can't. I'd say though, a month? That would give a steady flow of fry too.

I'm sorry for all the questions, I just won't give breeding advice to someone I think is unprepared or is in it for the money. The questions help me see how prepared they are.
The most I would spawn a female is every 4 weeks, the spawning process is extremely brutal, the female is often unrecognizable afterwards.

This is the female, Gleam, and she's super stressed ):
I had a strand of hornwort in her tank and unfortunately it shed its 'needles' (?) and turned her tank into a mess. I'm currently tying to get it cleaned out and all the nasty decomposing plant matter out of the substrate. ):

This is the male, Flame.
Not the greatest picture, I can try to get a better one of need be.

She looks like a veil tail to me, both are gorgeous! Love the names as well. That doesn't sound fun, bet you will not be getting horn wort again. Don't know if I want to now. Hope she and her tank gets better soon. Congrats on the beautiful Bettas.

I think maybe it didn't have enough light, because I have some in another tank and it seems to be doing well, and thank you! I think flame is gorgeous, I love his colors, my daughter named Gleam, she is her favorite

Oh ok that makes sense. I understand why your daughter likes her so much. She's a gorgeous betta!

Could you get a picture of her tail? I can't see it in the picture above so I can't count the rays.
They are both beautiful!

Do either of these work?
She moves so quick and likes to face me directly.
Maybe if I put her in front of a window or light?
