How much would it cost to repair a leaking 150g tank?

My 150g started leaking from the bottom, I have no idea where it's coming from but it drips water from underneath on all sides of the tank. Is it even possible to repair this? Or would I be better off just buying a new tank

It depends on whether it’s the actual glass that cracked or the seal. If it’s the glass then it really shouldn’t be used again but if it’s the seal you may be able to fix it and reseal it .

You will have to empty it to see whats up anyway.....so have fun with that! lol I hope for your sake it is a reseal job. Not fun but less expensive!

If its the silicone it should be under a $20 fix but figure a weekend of time.

Yeah I already emptied it as it was leaking a lot of water on the floor, doesn't look like it's cracked, I'm assuming it's the seal.

If you see no cracked bottom.....its worth a go at resealing it. However.......consider the peace of mind factor. Just a thought to really think on.

Let us know......good luck friend!!!!

If you reseal it and it still leaks, you will have to buy a new tank. Save the heartache, buy a new tank .
