How much to feed dwarf puffer?

Hey, guys. I recently got a dwarf/pea/malabar/pygmy puffer. It doesn't seem very interested in frozen bloodworms, so has been eating bladder snails. I've bred them (snails) before, so I've got that down. However... If I let Foxtrot decide, he goes to town and will eat snails non-stop. He isn't quite adult sized. How many snails should I feed him and how many times per day? I'll be feeding the snails a snail jello with spirulina powder... any suggestions on what else to add to the snail food to supplement the puffer's diet? Thanks!
P.S. I've got a sponge filter running in there at the moment but am getting a new aquaclear.

 

Are you sure he's a pea puffer? He doesn't look like one. I feed my pea puffers 2 bladder snails each day with 1-2 days of fasting per week.

 

Looks like a pea/dwarf puffer to me, I feed mine brine shrimp (live) and they will pig out so tend to feed enough that you can see a little bump on the belly then stop. (Probably a bit too much really), how long have you had them?

 

I've had him (until full grown, I'm assuming male) for a week and a half. I'm almost certain he is a dwarf/pea puffer. Those pics were the first day I had him, he was still settling in and a little pale. I just have the one, as I didn't want to chance aggression issues once it's full grown. I'll try the 2 bladder snails per day and a day of fasting per week. I don't have easy access to brine shrimp unless I want to do the whole shrimpery thing, and I'm more familiar with breeding snails. Thank you!

 

It was more a reference to quantity, if it's male, after a month or 2 you should se a stripe nose to tail on the belly it will continue to get darker for a few months after as well. Good luck and remember they are sensitive so regular water changes and regular testing, good luck
