How much should I feed my betta?

My betta is a few months old, I'm not completely sure because I don't know how old he was when I got him.

He seems pretty small for a betta.

The store said 4 pellets a day, but that seems pretty small.

4 pellets seem fine to me. That's how much I used to feed my betta. 2 in the morning and 2 at night. Also, it's best to feed a variety of different foods to your fish. A mix of frozen foods, pellets and flakes. Bettas love frozen bloodworms, my betta liked frozen brine shrimp as well.

I agree with Brandon, four seems fine. I actually only feed mine three pellets once a day in the morning. :)

Also, the reason he may seem small is because his fins are a little rough looking, could that be it?

He may just be young or a small breed I just remember my other Bettas being larger.

I usually feed him 3 or 4 midday.

I usually feed mine 2 or 3 pellets in the morning and then 2-3 at night.
