How Much Should I Feed 5 Male Guppies A Day?

I put in a large pinch of flake food mixed with bloodworms for them every morning. Does this work, or should I feed them more? Thanks.

 

I recommend feeding just enough to where they can eat it all in 2 minutes. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I doubt you’re under feeding, since most tend to over feed. Just make sure they’re eating it all so you tank doesn’t get super dirty really fast

 

I think even 2 minutes is too long. I say 30 seconds to a minute is good.

I would feed either dry foods by itself or frozen by itself, but not both at the same time. The fact that you do, I’m pretty certain you’re overfeeding.

 

I agree with scarface, food should be consumed fairly quickly and either frozen or flake at a given feeding time.

Remember your fish has a lot of internal organs just like humans do. If you look at your fish picture their belly being roughly 1/8 of its total size. That is a small space to pack that food into. After a bit, they won't try to fit it all in so it will all settle into the tank and eventually break down messing with your water quality.

 

They eat all of it, so that’s a good sign. The bloodworms are freezedried and was included in the flake mix. It’s too big for them to eat, so the rosies eat it for them.
