HI
I have a BN pleco aprox 3inches long. How much and what should I be feeding her. At the moment I'm feeding 1-2 algae wafers per day. Is that too much as shes looking a bit plump lol. I was worried about her going hungry as iv heard of plecos starving. Any advice would be appreciated

Hey! Depending on how much algae she is being able to eat a day, you can stick to 1 wafer per day. The best thing to do though is to observe what she does in regards to daily feeding on algae. Hope this can help. Good luck

Thanks there is hardly any algae in the tank so that's why I was worried. She doesn’t always finish all the wafer and my mollies end up eating the rest!

Ok! She should be fine then. Just make sure to keep paying attention to how she eats.

I would recommend feeding some fresh veggies too, bn plecos really enjoy it. Zucchini, cucumber, sweet potato, peas, really any veggie you can try and fruits too, see what yours likes the best. You can also try canned green beans. You can leave veggies in for the whole day, but not so long that they start to deteriorate in your tank.

Brilliant that sounds good I would like to add a bit of variety to her diet. Does anyone have an opinion on repeshy gel foods? Also if my BN is aprox 3 inches is she a fully grown adult?
