I have Flourish liquid and API root tabs. How much Flourish for a 10 gallon tank? None of the pet stores in the area carry Thrive

It'll be approximately 1 ml for a 10 gallon tank.

Please note that it only supplies micronutrients (iron, manganese, copper, etc.) and no macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium).

Most stores that stock Flourish also stock Flourish Nitrogen, Flourish Phosphorus and Flourish Potassium.

Likewise, API root tabs only supply micronutrients. People often sell pre-made Osmocote Plus (micros and macros) root tabs on eBay.

If you can order Thrive online, I would recommend that instead of having to purchase 3 separate Seachem products to dose macros.

API are actually only NPK and iron - lacking micros.
OP, the bottle should have dosing and storing instructions, but as mentioned 1 mL. No issue if you overdose a little.

Do you dose it once a week? And do you have to do water changes? And do you only dose the fresh water? Just making sure I understand fully

It would be 0.83ml if you are trying to follow the directions to the letter, or ration it. As others have said, bumping that up to 1ml to make it easier wouldn't harm a thing!

So just do 1ml once a week?
What about water changes how do those effect what you put in?

They take out what you put in, I dose Thrive right after my water changes

1 ml = 20 drops
the instructions say 5 ML for 60 gallons so...
5ml×20drops =100 drops in 5 ml, take that 100 drops and ÷ it by 6 parts and get ~16.66, 1 part or 16.66×20 drops=333.2 drops 333.2÷10= 33.32 drops for a 10 gallon tank... or just around 1.5ml
...just in case you wanted to know the EXACT amount per manufacturer specifications...

I don't think this is correct... You could simply use a proportion. Also, depending on what you use the size of a "drop" is super ambiguous

5 mL / 60 gallons = x mL / 10 gallons

Where x represents the amount needed for 10 gallons.
Cross multiply and you get 60x = 50
x = 50/60
x = 0.83 mL

Put in english, 10 gallons is a sixth of 60 gallons, 0.83 mL is a sixth of 5 mL.
