How Many Tetras In A 60 Gallon?

There is one spot in my place that is perfect for a custom sized aquarium.
The (useable!) dimensions are 5'5" x 1'3" x 1'3".
Photo with current 20 gal and a 9" comet.
My calcs are this'd make a 60-75 gal tank that weighs 525-650 lbs or so and look really good possible. I could be wrong. Just a thought experiment.
If I committed to an all tetra tank with all conditions, light plants pH optimized for them, how many could optimally and sustainably live there (and how many different kinds of behaviorally compatible tetra species are likely there at the lfs anyway)?
Are tetras the kind of fish that likes a LOT of company of its kind?
And would I want it made from acrylic, and who would make it, and in theory could I do it myself?
Questions, I haz them.

It depends on your what type you want, do you have some favorites you could mention. Also you have some stocking issues in your 20G if you would like to discuss them.

I am quite new. Three days to be exact. Open minded and learning. I think a school of them would be something!

LOL. Yes, quite. Changing very soon.

What species of tetra are you interested in. King Of Diy makes his own tanks if you would like to check him out. Also tetras do well with lots of their kind. The more the merrier. In the wild they typically live in schools of 100+. In my 73G I have 20 Neon Tetras and they are beautiful. But if you are looking for something that typically moves like schooling fish I wouldn't get large numbers of a species. I would medium numbers of 2-3 species. Because when in a larger group they tend to spread out more and don't move together as much as with less tetras.
