I would like to have just about every type of fish going, but limited by what's peaceful and practical and by space etc. so how many species have you got?

If I am remembering correctly, there are over 5800 described species of freshwater fish.

Less than 10% of that is easily available to the hobbyist.

My book says 15,000-20,000 freshwater only fish in the world and about 1,500 are suitable for aquariums. And I don't know about saltwater(I don't think anyone really knows).
