How Many Silver Tip Tetras In 13 Gallon Tank?

So I have a 13 Gallon tank right now with 4 fish in it. I was thinking after they all pass on, I would get some silver tip tetras, and also redesign my tank. My main question is how many silver tip tetras could I have in it for a nice sized school that’ll also fit well in the tank? And, if possible, could I get some sort of bottom dwelling fish to hide in places. I’ve always liked having those types of fish. Thanks!

To be honest I wouldn't put Silvertips in a 13G tank. That's due to their different behaviour than most other tetras.

They use to chase each other endlessly (even till females are exhausted)

These awesome active fish therefor to me need a bigger tank to expose their natural behaviour and have enough space to do so.

Don't let them fool you !

13g is too small for silver tips. I would auggest smaller nano schooling species, for example the ember tetra

I bred a pair of silvertips in a 10, but kept the school in a long 30. They are a fairly active species.

A 13 gallon would be too small for a school of silver tip tetras as a proper sized schools would not only make the tank crowded but the bioload would be over it's maximum and aggression will start to appear. If you want a school of silver tip tetras I recommend a 29-30 gallon tank with 10-12 of them in it!
