How many male guppies in a 10 gallon?

aqdpanda22

So I just made a post about how to stock my 29 gallons and for that, I'm removing all the fish from my 10 gallon. Sicne I want to continue running the 10 gallon, I figured I could just put some guppies in it. Males only because I do not want to deal with baby guppies. How many male guppies would you suggest? 3? 6? More? 6 is what the internet told me but some videos said more is okay. Other sites said less. I want to ask here for some other opinions. I like doing weekly water changes of 25%. It's a gravel substrate, a driftwood piece, a large hide, and a few plants.

Based on that information, what number of male guppies would be best? Thanks!

I don’t think I would do more than 5 as 10 gallons is still small and they require at least 2 gallons of water per fish. So 5 would be max for me. But then again I would just be safe and stick with 3 or 4.

I'd go with 5 to spread out the aggression a little. When I had 3, one was always getting beat up.

I don’t think it matters in my experience with guppies just make sure your not overstocking

Lots of plants tall enough to provide hiding places will also help.
