I have a 55 gallon tank ready for pirahnas to be stocked, I am getting them on Friday, I have some driftwood for the pleco and a couple other plants and decorations so that maybe the pirhanas can coexist, the pleco is 12'' and is pretty healthy, I feed him 3 algae wafers a day. But I am just wondering if I should just get one, two or if I could even get 3, any tips help ty!

Honestly, piranhas are way cool but I wouldn't keep them unless I had a huge tank. Red belly piranhas get quite large and prefer to be kept in large groups. If you can't do a group I think just one would be best. They are also very messy and need very clean water.

You need a much bigger tank for piranhas. They like to be in bigger groups along with growing big. I would personality not put anything that grows 12 inches into a 55 gallon tank because that's pretty small and barely any room.
