In a 10-gallon tank, How many chili rasboras can I have? I currently have four but I would like to buy more. I also have shrimp, a variety of snails, and 3 kuhlii loaches.

10 is a good starting point, and if your water quality remains high and consistent, you could always get more down the track.

When I had micro rasboras (b. maculatus) in my 25g long (80cm x 45cm x 30cm) with a betta, 4 habrosus and a single BN... I started out with 10, soon went to 20.... and then doubled to 40. And adding 20 at once, I didn't notice not even a blimp in water quality.

They have super small bioloads IMO.

I like the idea of increasing the population in increments. That way it’s easier to control. Did you buy your rasboras or did they reproduce?

All purchased unfortunately. Would have been amazing if they bred.

They're so tiny in both physical size and bioload. 10, 15, 20 - I don't foresee a problem if you have adequate filtration. I also doubt you'd even see a blip in the water parameters unless you overfed them.

Super pretty fish. I miss having them.
