How many cardinals

My stocking is 1-2 (depends on my other post) GBR, 1 bn pleco, 1 platy. I was thinking of doing cherry barbs but I can't fins any where I live and I do like cardinal tetras so... First I would get cardinals, I want the largest school I could have for them and THEN eventually get an angelfish. So, how many cardinals could I get?

I read somewhere that 6 is min and 15 is ideal but not so sure
Angelfish may eat cardinal tetras

29g oops! I hear that if the cardinal tetras grow up with the angle fish then the angelfish is less likely to eat them woodsonfan Sina

It's true in my experience but risky as it is dependant on the individual Angel.

Also, I have observed that small fish can be stressed by being forced to share their environment with large fish.

I think that's also worth considering.

I have 20 Neons and feel that is an excellent number both for the effect and for the ability of weaker fish to disappear into the shoal and escape more aggressive individuals such as males in breeding mood.

I will try for them both, and that included should I get 10-20ish? Just for a bit more info, I would wait a while for the cardinals to grow up and reach at least 1.5 inches before getting a baby angelfish.
