How Long Will It Take (mystery Snails)

I am going to put about 4 mystery snails in one tank. I’m pretty sure I have a few females and a male. Keeping them in the same tank, I know that a clutch of eggs WILL be laid, but how long will it take for them to mate and lay eggs? Basically, how many days from me putting them in the same tank should I expect a clutch of eggs? Any more snail breeding tips are accepted greatly.

Thanks,

I don't know the exact months/days of age before they start laying but mine were just shy of completely full grown adults before they started laying clutches. Um the only tips I know... leave the water level a couple inches below the rim, a well fitting lid will help keep the humidity in for the eggs, and have some backup tanks ready for the offspring. Cut the clutch in half asap, for less babies.

I lowered the water. The space between the water line and top of the tank is 4 inches. Is that enough? I also raised the temperature of the water to 80 degrees.

As long as your water parameters are good, they're well fed, and have a large enough peaceful community tank, without predatory or boisterous fish, they'll be laying clutches in no time. Mine didn't even care that my water level was high, the still managed to climb onto and lay clutches on the HOB and even underside of the hood. I would say I started finding clutches within a month of getting them.
