How long my plants can survive without proper care?

My LFS betrayed me and now I am stuck. My LFS was supposed to bring me some dragon stone. My betta is going to move to a bigger tank. I have already got the tank. The problem is that I have bought the plants too for the tank. I have bought anubias barteri, red hygrophila, cryptocoryne wenditii. I already had some aponogeton and a dwarf water lily in the small tank. I will take them out and plant them too here. I have taken some moss out from the main tank and attached it to a driftwood. I have taken some hornwort out of the main tank too.

It have done all these last Tuesday. It already been a week. I was supposed to get the dragon stone by Sunday. Then he said he would bring them Monday. Now he is saying he can give them on Wednesday. But I will be busy Wednesday and Thursday. I can get them Friday only. Now none of my other tanks have any place left to keep them. They can be kept in the smaller tank too where the betta currently is as it is too small to insert the driftwood and all the plants.

The cryptocoryne, hornwort, red hygrophila all are just floating in the tank. I have attached 1 rhizome of barteri in the driftwood. The rest will be attached to the dragon stones. So the other 4 rhizomes are just floating in the tank freely without being attached to anything. The java moss is attached to the driftwood too and because of all these floating plants, it is getting poor light. The anubias barteri attached to the driftwood is also getting poor light. The tank has the light that will be used there after setting up the tank. Also I have uprooted some of my myriophyllum from the main tank. They are floating too in the betta tank.

The problem is I can't aquascape the tank without the dragon stone as I have planned to divide the substrate of two colours(aquasoil and white sand) by using the dragon stones and I really can't do it without the stones. Without the stones I have to go with only 1 kind of substrate. I don't have enough aquasoil for that and also I don't want to use 100% sand. Plus I have nothing else to attached to anubias barteri too. If I plant everything else then too when I get the dragon stones, I will have to uproot th and rearrange them probably which I don't think will be good for the plants.


I have already made an advance and paid more than half the price for the dragon stones, so I can't buy from any other stores too. The plants are like there for 8 days including today and have to stay there for 3 more days. Any advice is appreciated.
How long do you think the anubias barteri will survive floating without being attached to anything?
How long will the cryptocoryne wenditii, myriophyllum and red hygrophila survive in floating condition?
How long the java moss and anubias barteri that are attached to the driftwood would survive in low light?
Any suggestion will be appreciated. I just don't know what to do. I am stuck completely. Any kind of suggestion or advice can be helpful. Never expected this kind of unprofessionalism from the LFS.

 

Relax . Plants get ripped out of river beds in a flood and float down stream for days before they come to rest .

Will they survive yes.
will they be the picture of perfect health for the next few months unlikely.
In a few months will it matter? Not really

 

I’m pretty sure most plants can survive in floating conditions for a while. My dwarf sag kept floating out of the substrate so I left it floating because I was to lazy to put it back and 3 weeks went by and the roots just kept growing towards the bottom and the plant didn’t brown at all

 

The only ones I had any issues with like this was when I was re-aquascaping and my crypts when they were floating turned into little umbrella looking things. They were on top by the light so that may have helped some.

What do you mean by little umbrella looking things? Did the leaves widen and became circular?

No they were like the metal rods and were like a fountain when I re planted them....lol Goofy looking.
