How long must lights be on.

How long per day must the lights be on for a planted tank. The one is a 54 liter tank and the seconk tank is a 61 liter tank.

 

Depends on the plants, what kind of plants are we talking?

 

Varies, light intensity and spectrum affect the time. Mimicing normal daylight hours might be a good place to start. If alage gets out of control less light, plants not doing well more.

 

I only have photos of the plants the one petshop have geven the plants to me when they find out I'm starting tanks again. I did not use plantd except guppy grass in the past. The plants I got is in the photos.

Will try to get the names on the net.

Bacopa Monnieri, Java Moss, Eleocharis acicularis, Hermianthus micranthemoides, Vallisneria gigantea and there are 2 plants that I don't get the name of will send the fotos to someone that I now at the university here close to me. It looks like most of them are medium light. Does that mean normal day light time from 05H00 in the morning to 19H00 in the evening.
