How long for Oscars to reach 15"?

I have had my oscars for almost 6 months now and I got them when they were 1 1/2 inches and other was 2 1/2.and now the Albino the 2 1/2 incher is now 9 inches and the red tiger oscar is about 7-8 inches.how long do u guys think it will take for my oscars to grow about 15 inches there housed in a 125 gallon tank and I'm looking for a 300 gallon right now but can't find none locally.

 

You should have a while, because a 125 gallon tank isn't exactly small. I'd say you have 3 months, because they're probably not growing as fast as they were. 6 months as most before they should be moved.

Mine after about 2.5 years got to 12inches from a mere 1 when I got them

 

I absolutely adore oscars! Though I don't know much about them, other than they are big, messy, carnivorous, and can't really live with anything it can fit in its mouth.

Don't power feed them oscars cause they will grow real fast .There hefty eaters .And make a mess in the tank with their by product they let go .I have 2 oscars that were 1.5'' long ,that I bought last month .they are now 2 to 2.50 ''long .Cause I feed mine real good to .

 

I just feed them pellets twice a day

 

My oscars like frozen brine shrimp,beef heart,and grass hoppers too .ive got mine trained to come up to a certain area of the tank already .I do have some guppies for breeding in a 10 gal tank to feed them in a month or so .try not to buy and feeder fish from lps .they can have issues ..if you decide to feed them live fish raise your own .,The oscars will eat all you give them .they will eat till the food comes out of their gills .I feed mine what they can eat in 1 minute ,with out anything left over .
Oscars are real pigs

Pellets aren't enough for the oscars .give them a variety of foods that oscars eat .if they can get it in their mouth they will eat it .lol

I'm no expert on oscars ,but I do know they are carnivores lol

osars can grow up to an inch a month until about 10 inch, then their growth rate tends to slow down from there a bit.
my oscars and jd loves night crawlers also, they also like fruit like white grapes, black cherries (both deskined), banana, strawberry.

 

Yea I also feed them night crawlers.and my red tailed catfish hybrid shakes my hand lol got him trained and hand feeds he's so cool.and u feed them beef heart do u rise the blood off so don't get in water and to u just cut it up and freeze it what I'm trying to say how do u prepare it steve ,bc I might buy that for them.

Buzz I also have make and female jds ther full grown both about 8 inches and they just hide all the time lol.

 

My JD doesn't hide on me. When I feed beef or chicken heart, I rinse it and cut it up a bit.
