Shrimp newbie here - I’ve got three CRS temporarily living in a Tupperware container with some moss and an air stone for a little over 48 hours now. (Long story short, I had them in a nice planted bowl for a week but then unexpectedly lost the bowl on Sunday and scooped them out into a spare container with 50% bowl water and 50% dechlorinated tap.)

Their new home is taking a lot longer to prepare than expected, so I’m wondering how long I can expect them to live happily in their temporary (and very un-cycled) home.

Is there anything I can do to improve the situation? I’m working on getting their permanent home up & running asap, but in the meantime would like to keep them healthy, if not happy.

Do daily water changes, at least one - if not two a day. They should be fine as long as you keep up with the water changes.
