I'm starting a new tank up, 10 gallon, for a sorority. My tank already has 0.25 ammonia, 0.25 nitrite and 5.0 nitrate. I want to put the females in but I don't know if it was be completely safe. Should I wait till it's fully cycled or put them in?

Yes, wait until you have become completely cycled.
It'll damage their health.

You will 100% wanna wait until ur tank is cycled. Subjecting ur fish 2 ammonia and nitrite toxicity will lower there immune systems making them the perfect target for bacterial, viral and parasitic invaders.

Alright thanks. I should do the same with the kuhil's? Since they are fragile as well?

You shouldn't ever put any fish into an unicycle tank, in the process.
Except for when you're doing a fish-in cycle. Fishless cycles are more brutal.

Bettas are very hardy but it is cruel to put any fish or invertebrate in an uncycled tank.

Betta sororities and kuhlis both need 20 gallons+ BTW

To be on the safe side, I would wait until you've got zero ammonia and nitrite. Also, many successful sororities use AT LEAST 20 gallons, but I would say even that is a little slim.

They are hardy, but very quickly they will get worn down... And once there worn down, there is no coming back from that as you will end up with poor health (many diseases & fin damage) ... While most likely & the worst... Which is death.... I recommend waiting till the tank is cycled, or get danios as they are hardy -- regardless though, do a fish less cycle.
