How good is the Nutrafin Master Test Kit really?

I mean the price is $253 (AUD) and the API Master Test Kit is $65

Apart from the fancy box you get with the Nutrafin and a couple of other tests is it worth the money?

I think it's less the quality (can't say anything about that anyways, as neither kits are sold in my country), but the range.

API has general pH, high range pH, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate.
Nutrafin has: low range pH, high range pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, KH, GH, Phosphate, Calcium and Iron.

So basically double the tests. But: E.g. if you know you have hard/soft tap water and don't have plants/corals, half of the tests are useless. When your tank is cycled and established you mostly need even less.
I personally would always prefer a kit that contains hardness tests, though...

But honestly, I use high quality test strips and additionally a liquid ammonia test. That's all I need. And that's what most people need. Unless you keep/breed super demanding fish/corals/inverts/plants that need exact water conditions to the second position after the dezimal you are fine with a budget solution.
