How Do You Use Fish Mox?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me more exactly how to use Fish Mox?
It says on the container that you ad one capsule for 10 gal of water.
And then repeat in 24 hours.

My tank is 10 gal. Do I perform a water change every 24 hours ( meaning I take out the 10 gal with 1 capsule from yesterday and I add new 10 gal with a capsule)
or
I add another pill on top of the first pill?
If yest to the latter, does it mean that at the end of the 5th day, there will be 5 capsules in the tank?

THANK YOU.

You change water before you add any med to help the med remain potent.
So do a 50% water change [dechlorinate, match temp] then add one 10 gallon treatment cap.
Next day change 25-50% water [same way] and add another capsule.
Treatment should be 5 day minimum and 10 day max..
I change water before every re dose of any med for the same reason as I changed water before the meds ..

Thank you. Probably I wasn't clear.
My tank is 10 gall all together.
Yes, I will perform a complete water change before I add the med.

The question is, how do I add the second pill, next day?
Do I take ALL 10 gall out, put 10 new gal water and add a pill?
Or
Do I take only 50% ( 5 gall), add 5 new gall and add the second pill?

Thanks again
Sorry, - I am a foreigner.

First ;
Do a 50% water change [dechlorinate, match temp] then add one 10 gallon treatment capsule.

The next day change 25-50% water [same way] and add another capsule[the next days dose].

Treatment should be 5 day minimum and 10 day max..

Change water [25-50%] before every re dose of any med , daily if needed ..

I just wanted go mention, make sure you remove your carbon before adding a med. The carbon will remove the meds from the water

what do you mean by removing carbon? removing the sponge filter?

No, remove the actual carbon. It is the black, kinda rocky stuff. In many filter cartridges the carbon is encapsulated inside floss that is stretched over a plastic frame. In case like that, you need to slit the cartridge and dump the carbon.

If you don't have carbon in your filter don't worry. It is not necessary for successful fishkeeping.

It is provided for those people who want to make fishkeeping more complicated.

Those of us who like to keep fishkeeping simple don't need it.

While I agree carbon isn't necessary, I personally prefer to use it. It will remove organics from the water, help eliminate odors and prevent the water from yellowing. But that is besides the point. If the OP has carbon, it needs to be removed before adding meds.
