How do I sell my Koi?! HELP

Hi there,
I'm trying to help my parents sell some beautiful Koi fish from their little pond. They are traveling a lot for work and do not have the time to give them the proper care that they need. I would like them to all stay together and obviously I want to find them a caring home. There are about 12-15 of them. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or resources for me on how to go about selling Koi fish? Any help would be appreciated, I'm lost!

 

You could sell them on FaceBook, you'll have to join a fish group that allows selling or try Craigslist, they allow animal sales.

 

Have you already tried to find a koi club? For members of such a club would be more willing to purchase them as a group.
Selling them on Facebook can be tricky. For Facebook itself does forbid sales posts of live animals.

 

Maybe a LFS thats interested in koi?

I am also working to sell a bunch of mature koi. I've contacted all the local koi clubs within 100 miles of where I live, no one got back to me. I'm not sure if FB is a solution, and I have no idea what they're worth to sell on Aquabid. If anyone has an idea, I'd appreciate it. Here's a photo.

 

Maybe a restaurant that has a pond on their property if there are any in your area.. maybe r maybe have to bite the bullet and donate them to a zoo or aquarium. Just a couple other thoughts.

. . . or an upscale plant nursery. Some of them have outdoor ponds.

 

I used to sell koi for years. I has two ponds in the backyard, three large containers in the backyard and some container in my shed where I kept koi of all sizes. I bred them ever since mid 1980's up till 2005.
Baby koi were very popular those days. Retailers with Belgian, German, Moroccan and Chinese background purchased baby koi from me all the time. But also bigger ones sold well.
